I collected data on the GEOXH and I tranferred it to Pathfinder. Now I want to export the information to a shapefile. I went to utilites and choose export to new ESRI shapefile. It tells me no projection file but it has still exported without a projection in the past so I choose continue. It then tells me that my features have been disregarded because they have no postions. How do I go about getting shapefiles?

Answer

The reason no features were exported is because your data is uncorrected and Pathfinder Office filters it out.

PFO Export Settings

You have 2 options to fix this:

  1. Differentially Correct your data to make your positions more accurate.
  2. Go into your Export Properties, select the Position Filter tab, and under the Position Filter Settings you can Check the box next to Uncorrected data.  Keep in mind that the accuracy of uncorrected/autonomous data can be up to 10 meters off.

Currently, Differential Correction does not work with CORS stations due to the Government Shutdown.  Please read our topic regarding the Shutdown and processing data.
