The GPS Analyst Tools are grayed out?

Answer

You installed Trimble’s GPS Analyst extension for ESRI ArcGIS and the most of the tools on the toolbar are grayed out.

Solution

After the installation of GPS Analyst is installed you need to enable the extension in both ArcCatalog and ArcMap.

1. Open ArcCatalog
   1. Click on Tools and select Extensions
   2. Check the box next to Trimble GPS Analyst
2. Open ArcMap
   1. Click on Tools and select Extensions
   2. Check the box next to Trimble GPS Analyst

If the Trimble GPS Analyst extension is already turned and you are still having problems follow the steps below.

1. If you are trying to check data back into your geodatabase.
2. Make sure you Start GPS Editing under the Trimble GPS Analyst toolbar in ArcMap
