Answer
You will to setup a file name attribute for your feature(s) . This is done through the Data Dictionary Editor utility inside of Trimble’s  Pathfinder Office software. Â
- Open Pathfinder Office
- Create or Open your project
- Click on Utilities and select the Data Dictionary Editor
- Open your Data Dictionary file or create a new one
- Edit an existing feature or create a new one
- Add in the File Name attribute for your photos. Â Add additional file name attributes if you want more than one file
- Save the Data Dictionary file
- Click on Utilities and select the Data Transfer utility
- Send the DDF file over to the Geo7x. Â
- Open TerraSync and create a new data file using the DDF you just created
- Click on the feature you want to collect.
- You will see a camera icon next to the picture/photo attribute…this will activate the camera utility on the Geo7x
- Point the Geo7x at the feature (camera is on front of the Geo)
- Make sure to use the center button on the Geo7x to shoot the picture. Â If you hit the OK button nothing happens…
- Once the picture has been taken, then you click the OK button
- This operation is successful once you see a thumb nail of the picture below the picture attribute.
