Back around 1990 NEI committed to deliver to the Navy some
state-of-the-art distance meters including field cases. The equipment
was secured but the manufacturer back ordered the cases. NEI's current
Director of Production, Lane Cook took on the task of manufacturing
custom cases for them.
Out of that experience grew the pre-eminent custom case manufacturing NEI now provides. NEI cases are used the world over. From surveying cases for field surveys in Russia to man sized offshore cases used by the oil industry. Delicate one-of-a-kind instrumentation for environmental testing to laptops by the dozen in one case for professional trainers.
