Trimble Protected Plan Updates for Trimble Survey Products: New Extended Warranty Program
As of March 5th, 2014, Trimble Protected Plans announced an update to Extended Warranty Equipment Protection plans. As in the past, options include hardware, software & firmware coverage as well as several new value added features.
New Value Added Features:
– New! Protection against failure due to wear & tear, as well as environmental damage
– New! Coverage against Surge Protection
Wear and tear includes damage from repetitive use resulting in equipment that does not function to specification. Environmental damage includes dust, heat, humidity and salt air when used in accordance with intended equipment specifications. Surge protection includes damage due to a surge in Trimble manufactured power supplies.
Total station coverage includes one Inspect-Clean-Calibrate service per year for each year of coverage purchased. Cosmetic damage that does not affect product functionality will continue to be excluded from warranty coverage.
